Collection Pricing

School (bulk) photography allows Jess Kamens Photography to provide you with quality portraits of amazing images for a price that will make them available to most. Collections begin at $99 and include both the session fee as well as prints combined in one. This is an amazing investment given the quality of portraits and service offered to create unique images of your little ones. Full collections and pricing information will be sent right to your email (on the order form).

This pricing is available for large-volume school photography only. The homeschooling community is very important to me (we are one of you!) and I am happy to provide this option to you.

FAQ

  • WHERE WILL THE SESSION BE HELD?

Outside at a park within the city of Rochester (TBD). Candid/playing and playfully posed images.

  • HOW DO I SCHEDULE MY CHILD'S PORTRAIT?

You will soon receive an email to register and schedule your child's session. Below's form asks for your day preferences. An email will be sent confirming your exact day and time.

  • WHAT AGE CHILDREN WILL YOU CREATE PORTRAITS FOR?

Homeschool children preschool (3) through Juniors (16). If you have a senior, please use the below form and check the appropriate box.

  • WHAT IF I WANT TO SCHEDULE MORE THAN ONE HOMESCHOOL CHILD?

Please enter the names of all of your children below. Your appointment will be at the same time for all children. Pricing is per child and one package must be selected for each child.

  • WHEN DO I ARRIVE?

Please arrive to your session 5-10 minutes PRIOR to your scheduled time and please be ready to go at your start time. You will be the only one scheduled for your time.

  • WHO SELECTS MY IMAGES?

The studio chooses which portrait is best for your child. If you would like to select your own image, you may choose to request a Zoom meeting with Jess (on your registration form). You will be presented with 2-4 images and can select which one(s) you like.

  • HOW DO I ORDER IMAGES?

Preorder of your package is required. Your registration form contains an invoice as well. If you have selected to choose your own images, you may increase your order at this time. I do not offer online galleries.

  • ARE MY PRINTS DELIVERED?

Your prints will be delivered to your home via post.

  • WHAT IF I WOULD LIKE LARGER ARTWORK (THAN 8X10) OF MY CHILD TO HANG IN MY HOME?

Come check out the new studio! You can see, touch and get to know what we offer. You are more than welcome...

  • HOW CAN I PREPARE MY CHILD?

Talk talk talk talk! Put it on the calendar. Get excited. Have a nice bath the night before, choose and lay out clothes and encourage them participate. Show them some portraits HERE. Show them what a goof I am and some pictures of me on the ABOUT page. Please prepare them that I will be wearing a mask and I will also have my assistant there with some fun big lighting equipment. The more calm you are about the situation, the more relaxed they will be. Please try, for little kids, to avoid prepping them too much, especially about "behaving, acting proper, etc.". I practice gentle parenting and teaching and I have a really gentle/fun way with kiddos. No need to put pressure on them. If, in the moment, a child is feeling not safe, we will wait and work with them to help them be comfortable. This should be a really special, fun experience for them.

  • WHAT WILL OUR SESSION BE LIKE?

I will be taking pictures of them while they are moving around and will work with each child, individually. Parents can be nearby, but it is best if you are not in the immediate area where I am shooting (this causes children to get easily distracted by their favorite people!).

  • CLOTHES? WHAT TO WEAR?

Please use your most convincing tactics to steer your kiddo away from neon/bright colors, logos, characters and all patterns. Feel free to blame it on me! Plain clothes are really best. I'm focusing on their sweet eyes, faces and expressions and we want to try not to distract from that! Dress appropriately of course! I might ask kids take off their jackets/hats for a minute or two, if they are wearing them. If you are unsure, please feel free to lay the clothes out or try them on your clothes and send me a picture via email.

  • PROPS & COSTUMES?

Please refrain from bringing props, "friends", blankies, costumes, etc. Stuffy friends can stay nearby me if they would like them for security. I focus on the children's face and these items can be a distraction.

  • SUNSCREEN

Please avoid sunscreen and lotions first thing in the morning.

  • SCHEDULING & RAIN DATE

You will receive a final date and time after you have completed the registration.

Rain dates will be the week after Thanksgiving on the same day and time. I will not make a rain cancellation decision until the last minute (unless it is definitive).

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD IS SICK?

If your child must miss their photo session, please contact me right away. I will do my best to squeeze you in at a different time. Please follow the studio's Covid-19 policies.

  • HOW WILL THE SESSION BE DUE TO COVID-19?

Each family maintains varying protocol during this time. Businesses are under a microscope ensuring that we abide by regulations. In order to respect one another's choices, we ask that you kindly review the studio's policies. All photography will happen from a distance (as it always does anyway!). You will be assigned a specific time for your session and ask that people wait by their cars (or designated area - this will be defined) and not convene and play with other children and adults during the session times (at this location). This can be distracting for a shy child having their portrait taken. Feel free to make plans to play and meet up after your portraits are complete! I thank you for understanding and respecting all families and businesses during these unusual times. I also ask that medical information not be volunteered or disclosed to the studio or other families in a public manner. This is your personal information and we respect your privacy.

  • DO WE RECEIVE THE SOCIAL MEDIA FILE'?

These will be available for purchase in selected packages ... It is a watermarked version of your chosen image that you may share with friends and family, carry on your phone, have on your computer, etc. This does not come with a print release.

  • MAY WE BRING SIBLINGS TO THE SESSIONS?

All children must be registered individually. If you would like portraits taken of your children combined, there must be a collection for that image purchased. I am happy to schedule this in!
  • MAY I SEE SAMPLES OF THE ARTWORK?

Any time! Please reach out to swing by the studio!

  • WHAT IF WANT A LARGER PRINT THAN 8x10?

Any investment larger than 8x10 is not available through the school system. However, through my portrait business, I offer heirloom artwork up to ANY size (yes!), Come by the studio to see!
